Mammootty Reveals Origin of ‘Mega Star’ Title from Dubai Press

Mammootty fondly recalled his first visit to Dubai in 1987 for a show, where the local press bestowed upon him the prestigious title of ‘Mega Star.’ While he acknowledged the significance of the title as a gesture of respect and affection from the people, Mammootty expressed his preference for the endearing nickname ‘Mammookka,’ which is affectionately used by his fans.

Despite his immense success and longevity in the industry, Mammootty remains humble and grounded, expressing his desire to continue acting until his last breath. Within just four days of its release, “Turbo” amassed a staggering Rs 52 crores worldwide, with screenings in 70 countries.
