Kerala Schools Reopen with Praveshanolsavam, CM Distributes Supplies to Class I Students

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the state-level Praveshanolsavam at Elamakara Government Higher Secondary School in Ernakulam, with Minister V Sivankutty presiding over the event. Other dignitaries including Minister P Rajeev and MPs and MLAs were present as special guests. The ceremony welcomed students of Class I, who were greeted with sweets and received new school bags and supplies from the Chief Minister. The event also featured the presentation of the Praveshanolsavam song.

With 2,44,646 students enrolled in Class I and a total of 39,94,944 students from pre-primary to higher secondary levels, Kerala is focusing on enhancing school facilities and learning standards. The distribution of textbooks is complete, and efforts are underway to provide free uniforms to nine lakh LP and UP school students. Kerala stands out as the first state to train teachers using computer systems, with 80,000 high school and higher secondary teachers receiving training in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
