Suresh Gopi to Meet PM Modi Tomorrow
Actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi, the newly elected Lok Sabha MP for Thrissur, is scheduled to fly to Delhi on Thursday to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After beginning his journey from Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday morning to greet his voters, he landed at Kochi airport around 1:30 pm and proceeded to Thrissur by car. BJP’s grand celebrations in Thrissur are set to begin at 3 pm, featuring a roadshow in the cultural capital and the presence of state BJP leaders.
Addressing the media at Thiruvananthapuram airport, Suresh Gopi mentioned that the party would decide on his potential entry into the Union Cabinet. He also expressed his intent to continue acting, stating, “Film is my passion and bread earner. I want to continue in films.” Suresh Gopi’s historic victory in the Thrissur Lok Sabha segment came with a significant lead of 74,686 votes, defeating CPI leader V S Sunilkumar. Gopi secured 4,12,338 votes, while Sunilkumar received 3,37,652 votes, and Congress leader K Muraleedharan finished third with 3,28,124 votes.
