His demise followed a brief hospitalization in Hyderabad due to complications arising from high blood pressure and respiratory distress. As the architect of the world’s largest film production facility, Ramoji Film City, Rao revolutionized the Indian cinematic landscape and solidified his imprint on Telugu cinema. In addition to his pioneering efforts in film, Rao’s ownership of Eenadu newspaper, ETV Network of TV channels, and Usha Kiran Movies underscore his indelible influence across various media platforms. A luminary of Telugu cinema, Rao’s accolades include multiple Filmfare Awards South, Nandi Awards, and the prestigious National Film Award.
