Explore Sri Lanka’s Rich Heritage with IRCTC’s Seven-Day Tour Package

Bringing cheer to those planning a trip to Sri Lanka, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a week-long travel package starting July 14. This tour offers a golden opportunity to explore the trails of the ancient epic Ramayana and other tourist attractions in Sri Lanka.

The journey begins with a flight from Kochi, departing at 10:20 am and arriving in Sri Lanka at 11:30 am on July 14. The first destination is the Manavari Munneswaram Temple, en route to Dambulla, where tourists will stay overnight. The second day includes visits to the Sigiriya Fort and the Dambulla Cave Temple, followed by prayers at the Thiru Koneswaram Temple and the Sree Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Temple.

On the third day, visitors will explore Kandy, starting with the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. The itinerary also includes the Kandy cultural exhibition and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. The fourth day begins with prayers at the Bahiravakanda Buddha Statue, followed by visits to the Ramboda Hanuman Temple and a tea factory in Nuwara Eliya.

The fifth day features trips to Gayatri Peedam, Sita Amman Temple, Gregory Lake, and the Divurumpola Temple. After visiting the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, tourists will travel to Colombo, where they will visit the Panchamukha Anjaneya Temple and the Kelaniya Buddha Temple. The Colombo city tour includes the Clock Tower Light House, Galle Face, Colombo Harbour, Beira Lake, Independence Square, National Museum, Nelum Pokuna Theatre, and Town Hall. The tour concludes with a flight back to Kochi on the seventh day.

During the tour, travelers will visit various tourist spots and spiritual centers associated with the Ramayana.
