Samantha fans are outraged after Siddharth posts a cryptic message.

After Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya announced their divorce, actor Siddharth shared a cryptic post on social media about “cheaters.”

Cheaters were mentioned in Siddharth’s post. He took to Twitter, writing: “‘Cheaters never prosper,’ was one of the first lessons I learned from a teacher in school. What about you?”

In 2013, Siddharth and Samantha were rumoured to be dating. The two never confirmed it.

The cryptic note, on the other hand, did not sit well with many social media users.

One person wrote: “@Actor Siddharth, have you heard the phrase “below the belt”? That is something I wish your teacher had taught you. It’s fine, though. How long could you have pretended to be a #feminist and a #progressive? I don’t think anyone should be with you besides Samantha.”

The tweet was labelled as “Such a low” by one user.

The couple, known as ChaySam, confirmed the news in an official statement from Naga Chaitanya, which Samantha shared.

They asked their fans and the media to respect their privacy.

Samantha married Naga Chaitanya in Goa in 2017.
