PG Doctors Launch 24-Hour Strike Across Kerala Today

Medical postgraduate students, organized under the Kerala Medical Postgraduates Association (KMPGA), are set to participate in a 24-hour strike across the state on Friday. The strike, which excludes emergency services, is a form of protest against the state government’s disregard for their demands. These demands include a stipend increase for medical PG students, the release of the safety audit report related to the murder of Dr Vandana Das in the medical college, and relaxation of university, research, and exam fees, among other issues. Despite the strike, efforts are being made to ensure minimal impact on patient services.
