Kalpatta Narayanan Honored with P Raghavan Award

Kalpatta Narayanan has been awarded the prestigious P Raghavan award, recognizing his outstanding contributions to literature, particularly in the realms of poetry and prose. The award, named after the late Congress leader and social activist P Raghavan, carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000, in addition to a sculpture and certificate. The selection committee, comprising eminent literary figures V R Sudheesh, Veerankutty, and Rajendran Edathumkara, lauded Narayanan’s profound literary works, which eloquently capture the essence of life in an innovative and transparent manner.

I Moosa, chairman of the commemoration committee, announced that Kalpatta Narayanan will receive the award during a ceremony scheduled for March 31. Former Union Minister Mullappally Ramachandran is set to felicitate Narayanan during the event. This recognition underscores Narayanan’s significant impact on the literary landscape, reaffirming his status as a distinguished writer and thinker in contemporary literature.
