Chilli garlic prawns recipe
Chilli garlic prawns is very similar to the preparation of chilli chicken, the prawns are fried and then cooked in the chilli garlic sauce. You can have it with fried rice/hakka noodles.
- 2 Tbsp Cornflour
- 2 tbsp All Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Ginger Paste
- 1 tbsp Soya Sauce
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 Egg
- 300 gram Prawns
- Oil
- 1 tbsp cornflour and 1 tbsp water (Cornflour slurry)
- For Sauce
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 2 tbsp Minced garlic
- 1/2 tbsp Minced ginger
- 2 Spring onions, sliced
- 3-4 Green Chillies (Slit)
- 1 Capsicum (Chopped)
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 tbsp Soya Sauce
- 1/2 tbsp Chilli sauce
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/4 tsp Vinegar
Preparation
In a bowl take cornflour and add all purpose flour, garlic paste, ginger paste, dark soy sauce, black pepper powder to it.
Add an egg to the mix, and whisk it without leaving any lumps.
Add prawns to the bowl, and mix.
Now fry these prawns in a pan, and let it fry on each side. Keep it aside when fried.
In a pan add oil and add minced garlic and minced ginger to it.
Next add sliced spring onions to the pan, along with slit green chillies.
Add chopped capsicum, black pepper powder, dark soy sauce, chilli sauce and mix well.
Pour water to the pan and mix it, and then, add the slurry add fried prawns.
Put salt, vinegar and mix
Serve hot
