Families dispute; Six-year-old boy stabbed to death; mother injured

A six-year-old boy was stabbed to death and his mother was injured amid a dispute between two families in Thrissur. The deceased has been identified as Najur Islam, son of a guest labourer in Puthukkad, Thrissur.

As per preliminary reports, the boy was killed in a clash between migrant labourers. The deceased’s mother also sustained severe injuries in the attack.

Reportedly, the labourers brandished weapons against one another as the conflict intensified, amid which the boy got killed. The police have taken a few people into custody in connection with the incident.
