Dubai secures its place among the globe’s easily navigable urban areas, ranking among the top ten. Out of a survey encompassing 390 cities across 56 countries, Dubai emerges as a standout performer. The city boasts the remarkable feat of traversing 10 kilometers within just 12 minutes, even in its bustling districts. The average time for a 10-kilometer journey in major urban zones of Dubai stands at 21 minutes.

Dubai shares this impressive standing with cities like Los Angeles, Montreal, Sydney, Berlin, Rome, and Milan. The evaluation, conducted by TomTom, assesses transportation accomplishments on an international scale. At the pinnacle of the rankings rests Almere in the Netherlands, where a 10-kilometer distance takes a mere 8 minutes to cover. On the other end of the spectrum lies London, necessitating 36 minutes for the same journey.

The urban areas of Dubai maintain an average speed of 59 kilometers per hour. According to the study, a swift 9-minute ride suffices for a 10-kilometer stretch in Dubai. The city’s current road network spans 18,475 kilometers, featuring wide thoroughfares, including 12-lane roads. The addition of a 90-kilometer metro line and an 11-kilometer tram system has further streamlined transportation within Dubai. The city boasts an impressive 884 underpasses and flyovers, with pedestrian bridges and subways numbering 122. These factors collectively contribute to the seamless traffic experience in Dubai.
