Nephew kills aunt and chops body in 10 pieces with marble cutter

The brutal murder of Shraddha Walker, who was killed by her live-in-partner in Delhi, sent shock waves across the country, a similar case has come to the fore from Rajasthan’s Jaipur. A nephew allegedly killed his widow aunt and chopped her body into 10 pieces with a marble cutter machine before dumping them at different places in the jungle.

Police have arrested the accused, Anuj Sharma alias Achintya Govinddas, and also recovered some body parts from the jungle. Police are still searching for other body parts of the woman. The incident happened in Lalpuria apartment Sector-2 in the Vidyadharnagar area of Jaipur, where on December 11, Anuj allegedly killed his aunt, Saroj Sharma (64), by hitting her on the head with a hammer.

He then cut the body into 10 pieces using a marble cutter machine in his bathroom before disposing of them in the jungle. Following this, he himself reached the police station and filed a missing report of his aunt to escape suspicion. Anuj was caught while he was washing the blood stains in the kitchen. Thereafter, Pooja, the daughter of the deceased, lodged a case against Anuj and police took him into custody. Police have recovered the weapons and other items used in the murder.
