KSRTC Clears Salary Backlog and Offers Onam Advance of Rs 7,500 to Permanent Employees

KSRTC has successfully settled the previously pending salary for July. The disbursement required Rs 76 crore, with adjustments made to employment tax and dies non. The government’s allocation of Rs 70 crore played a significant role in facilitating the salary distribution.

As part of the Onam festival allowance, temporary and replacement employees received Rs 1000 each, while permanent employees were granted Rs 2750. Additionally, the management opted to provide a salary advance of Rs 7,500 to permanent employees. The disbursement of this advance is set to take place by the end of today. Initiatives to distribute pension arrears for July have also been initiated, with discussions held between management and bank officials to expedite salary payments.
