India Issues Warning Amid Escalating Israel-Palestine Conflict: Safety Advisory for Nationals
In the wake of escalating tensions and violence on the Israel-Palestine borders, the Indian government has issued a stern warning to all its citizens caught up in the Middle East conflict. Urging caution and adherence to safety guidelines, Indian nationals have been advised to refrain from unnecessary travel and seek refuge in secure shelters.
The situation intensified as Israel officially declared war on the Palestinian extremist group, Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation in a video message, stating, “Citizens of Israel, we are at war. This is not an operation; this is war. We will win. Hamas will have to pay a heavy price.”
The attack orchestrated by Hamas occurred at 6:30 a.m. local time on Saturday, resulting in the unfortunate death of a woman in her sixties. The assault lasted for twenty minutes, leaving around fifteen people injured. Israel confirmed the presence of approximately 60 Hamas terrorists within its borders. In response, Israel’s defense forces have issued a stern warning of strong retaliation, emphasizing their readiness for war and deploying anti-rocket defense equipment.
Given the gravity of the situation, the Israeli army has instructed residents in the southern part of the country to stay within their homes. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to convene with security force chiefs to strategize the nation’s response.
On the other front, the Palestinian armed group, Hamas, announced the commencement of ‘Operation Al-Aqsa Flood’ against Israel. Hamas commander Mohammed al-Deif declared their intention to target enemy bases, military installations, and airports.
