Historic Moment: Ram Lalla Idol Consecrated in Ayodhyapuri After 500 Years

In a historic and momentous occasion on January 22, 2024, the long-awaited consecration of the Ram Lalla idol took place at the Sri Ram Temple in Ayodhyapuri. The event, witnessed by dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marked the culmination of a 500-year journey, bringing a sense of fulfillment and joy to devotees.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, and Temple Trust President Nritya Gopal Das, participated in the consecration ceremony. The revered event was led by the head priest, Laxmikant Dikshit of Varanasi, with the participation of 14 couples representing different regions of the country as ‘Mukhya Yajaman.’

The day’s festivities commenced with a ‘Mangal Dhwani’ musical program featuring over 50 instruments from various states, organized by the Sangeet Natak Akademi. Renowned singer Shankar Mahadevan led the musical celebration, setting a joyous tone for the auspicious occasion.

The event saw the presence of numerous eminent personalities from the film and sports industry, including Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Sachin Tendulkar, the Ambani family, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, Anupam Kher, Madhuri Dixit, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan, Prabhas, Yash, and more than 2200 VIPs. Their participation added grandeur to the historic day, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
