Kerala High Court Dismisses Appeal Against Kerala State Film Awards 2022 Challenge

The Kerala High Court has upheld the decision of a single bench and rejected a petition challenging the Kerala State Film Awards for 2022. Director Lijeesh Mullezhath’s appeal was dismissed by a division bench of the court, which affirmed the earlier ruling made by the single bench on August 11.

The court stated that the petition lacked sufficient evidence to support the director’s claims of nepotism and bias, and also noted that the film’s producer did not raise similar allegations. The division bench stated that since no substantial evidence was presented before the single judge, the decision to dismiss the petition was justified.
