surrogacy case: Nayanthara-Vignesh got clean chit from TN health department

The Tamil Nadu health department here on Wednesday has given a clean chit to actress Nayanthara and her husband director Vignesh Shivan in the alleged surrogacy case. The couple has not broken any rules related to surrogacy, confirmed the Tamil Nadu health department as putting an end to the row over the couple’s alleged surrogacy law violations.

A panel set up by the health department to probe the allegations against the couple submitted its report in this regard. The three-member team was led by the Joint Director of the Directorate of Medical Services. As per the report, it has been clarified that the couple got married in 2016. The inquiry also found that the duo had produced their marriage registration certificate ahead of signing the surrogacy agreement. The credibility of the certificate has also been verified and confirmed by the department.
