Vote Counting Underway for 17 Local Ward By-Elections; Results to be Revealed at 10 am

Today, the vote counting process will take place for the by-elections conducted in 17 local wards across the state. These elections encompassed fifteen panchayat wards and two block divisions, with the voting having occurred yesterday. The vote counting is scheduled to commence at 10 am at various centers. The real-time results of the vote counting can be accessed on the TREND website of the Election Commission, located at www.lsgelection.kerala.gov.in. A total of 30,475 individuals participated in the voting process, comprising 13,974 males and 16,501 females.

The wards that underwent by-elections are Ottakkal Ward in Thenmala Panchayat, Smalichira in Adichanallur Panchayat, Kotampanadi in Alappuzha – Thalavadi Panchayat, Maravanthuruth in Kottayam – Vaikam Block Panchayat, Vadakumpuram in Ernakulam – Ezhikara Panchayat, Muravan Thurut in Vadakkakekara Panchayat, Kokunn in Mookannur Panchayat, a ward in Pallipuram Panchayat, Thanikudam in Thrissur – Madakathara Panchayat, Thanikun in Palakkad – Pookotkav Panchayat, Chemmaniyot in Malappuram-Perinthalmanna Block Panchayat, Kalakunn in Chunkathara Panchayat, Akkarapuram in Tuvvur Panchayat, Kattilassery in Puzhakattiri Panchayat, Palotikun in Kozhikode-Velam Panchayat, Thatiyot in Kannur-Munderi Panchayat, and Parikatav in Dharmadam Panchayat.
