Two Malappuram Students Arrested for Stone-Throwing Incident at Vande Bharat Express

Two high school students hailing from Malappuram have been apprehended by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) for their alleged involvement in throwing stones at the Vande Bharat Express.

The incident leading to their arrest occurred on August 21 when the train’s windows were shattered by stones. In response to this incident, the train was temporarily halted at Shoranur railway station to address the damaged areas by affixing stickers.

Upon questioning in the presence of their parents and teachers, the two students admitted to their involvement in the act. They are scheduled to appear before the juvenile justice board on Thursday.

The apprehension of the accused was executed by a team under the leadership of Shoranur RPF commander CD Clari Vlasa. It is worth noting that prior incidents of stone pelting at the Vande Bharat Express have been reported in districts including Kozhikode and Malappuram.
