Corbett Tiger Reserve Welcomes Tourists: Explore the Bijrani and Garjiya Zones, New Website Enhances Visitor Experience

The Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve, housing the country’s largest tiger population, has reopened its Bijrani and Garjiya zones to tourists after the monsoon season, during which heavy rains had washed away roads. The reserve’s Director, Dheeraj Pandey, announced the opening of the Dhikala zone on November 15. Enthusiastic tourists have eagerly embraced the reopening of these zones. The reserve, renowned for its Royal Bengal Tigers, typically closes during the monsoon and reopens in October-November. Online bookings for jungle safaris and night stays in the reserve are now available, offering a seamless experience for visitors.

Corbett Tiger Reserve spans 1288.31 square kilometers, boasting exceptional biodiversity and the world’s highest tiger density. According to a recent report released in July, Corbett Reserve is home to 260 tigers, the highest number among the 51 tiger reserves in the country.

In addition to reopening zones, the reserve has unveiled a new website to enhance visitor interactions. The revamped site resolves previous issues, such as payment deductions without confirmation and improper refund procedures. The new website now supports UPI payments, ensuring faster transactions. Visitors can explore exciting offers and various options, including jeep safaris, night stays, and canter safaris, making the entire experience more enjoyable and convenient.
