Vivek Ramaswamy Withdraws from U.S. Presidential Race as Trump Secures GOP Candidacy

Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian-American entrepreneur and GOP leader, has withdrawn from the U.S. presidential race following a weak performance in the Republican Party’s first nominating contest in Iowa. Former President Donald Trump emerged victorious in the election for the Republican presidential candidate, securing a significant lead over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, who claimed the second and third positions, respectively. Ramaswamy finished in the fourth spot with 7.7 percent of the votes. Despite gaining attention for his outspoken debate performances, he decided to end his presidential bid and throw his support behind Donald Trump, whom he had previously hailed as the “best president of the 21st century.” The 38-year-old biotech entrepreneur announced his decision at a press conference in Iowa.
