Kerala Blasters FC staged a remarkable comeback, scoring four goals in the second half to secure a 4-2 victory over FC Goa in an Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 match. The Kochi-based team, after trailing by two goals at halftime, displayed a dominant performance to secure their first win in three games. Rowllin Borges and Mohammed Yasir had given FC Goa an early lead in the first half. However, Kerala Blasters’ Daisuke Sakai initiated the comeback with a stunning free-kick, making it 1-2. Greek striker Dimitrios Diamantakos played a pivotal role, scoring a brace and providing an assist in the second half, leading Kerala Blasters to a remarkable victory. The win propelled Kerala Blasters into the fourth spot in the ISL standings, while FC Goa suffered their third consecutive defeat.

The game showcased a dramatic turnaround, with Kerala Blasters making the most of FC Goa’s early lead. Diamantakos’ impact was crucial, converting a penalty in the 81st minute to equalize and subsequently scoring two more goals to seal the victory. Kerala Blasters FC’s next match will be against Bengaluru FC on March 2, while FC Goa is set to face Mumbai City FC in their upcoming fixture on February 28.
