SSLC Exams Begin Today with Assurances of Smooth Conduct and Adequate Facilities

Today marks the commencement of the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate), THSLC (Technical High School Leaving Certificate), and AHSLC (Art High School Leaving Certificate) exams. A total of 4,27,105 students are set to appear for the exams, distributed across 2,971 centers, including centers in Lakshadweep and the Gulf region. The breakdown includes 2,811 students in the THSLC category and 60 in the AHSLC category. Kerala alone hosts 2,955 examination centers.

In addition to the mainland, nine examination centers are established in Lakshadweep, and seven in the Gulf region. This includes 630 students from the Gulf and 285 from Lakshadweep who are participating in the exams.

The examination schedule is from 9:30 am to 11:15 am, with an extension until 12:15 pm for English, Mathematics, and Social Science subjects. A 15-minute cool-off time is also incorporated into the schedule. The exams are scheduled to conclude on the 25th of this month. Kerala Education Minister V Shivankutty has assured that all necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the examinations have been completed.

The SSLC exams are a crucial milestone for students, and the authorities are committed to ensuring a conducive and fair environment for all participants. The implementation of adequate facilities and the inclusion of a cool-off time aim to reduce stress and contribute to the overall well-being of the students during this examination period.
