Farmer’s Drastic Protest: 2000 Banana Plants Cut Down in Response to Elephant Menace

Frustrated by the recurring invasion of wild animals on his three-acre farm, a distressed farmer took extreme measures to protest the lack of action from authorities. Ramesh, who had cultivated banana plants across various sections of his field, made the difficult decision to cut down approximately 2000 matured plants that were ready for harvest.

Expressing his discontent, Ramesh highlighted the ongoing destruction caused by wild animals in the area, particularly by elephants, wild boars, and monkeys. The protest aimed to draw attention to the severe impact of the animal-human conflict on farmers and the urgent need for intervention by authorities. The loss of crops not only signifies a financial setback for the farmer but also underscores the broader issue of wildlife menace affecting agricultural communities.
