Kerala Ranks Among Top 5 States in Revenue, Credits Competent Financial Management, Says CM

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has lauded the state’s financial management, highlighting its positive impact on revenue and internal income. During the Nava Kerala Sadas program, he emphasized the increase in Kerala’s own revenue, domestic revenue, and per capita income as a result of proficient financial management. Despite facing challenges due to financial constraints imposed by the central government, Vijayan expressed frustration over the denial of the state’s rightful share, asserting that Kerala ranks among the top five states in terms of revenue.

The Chief Minister’s remarks come amid opposition criticism regarding the ongoing financial crisis in the state. The Left government has consistently pointed out challenges arising from the central government’s refusal of specific borrowings and grant permissions, arguing that Kerala faces stricter restrictions compared to other states.
