IMD Issues Yellow Alerts for 11 Kerala Districts as Temperature Set to Rise
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has raised concerns by issuing yellow alerts for 11 districts in Kerala due to the likelihood of above-normal maximum temperatures until April 7. The affected districts include Palakkad, Kollam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kannur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Kasaragod.
According to the IMD bulletin, these districts are anticipated to experience temperatures ranging from 2°C to 4°C above the normal average. This increase in temperature, particularly in non-hilly regions, may lead to discomfort among residents.
