Man discovers his wife is transgender two months after marriage and accuses his in-laws of duping him.
According to police, a man has filed a case against his in-laws, accusing them of duping him into marrying a transgender woman. In his complaint, the man accuses his in-laws of deceiving him by keeping him and his family in the dark about the marriage.
The man, who married on April 28, discovered the truth when he attempted to consummate the marriage, according to the complaint. He claimed that his wife’s genitals were not fully developed, preventing her from having physical relations with him.
He claimed that when he took his wife for a medical exam, he discovered she was transgender.
“A resident of Shastri Nagar married a woman from the district’s Panki area. After their marriage, the bride found it difficult to form relationships with the groom and informed him that she had health problems. The man began to suspect something was wrong as the days passed. He finally took his wife to a gynaecologist for a check-up, and the doctor confirmed that she was transgender “Kunj Bihari Mishra, a police inspector, made the statement.
On Sunday, the man filed a FIR along with his wife’s medical reports. The bride, her parents, and the mediator were charged with cheating under Section 420 of the IPC.
The Inspector went on to say, “An FIR has been filed under relevant sections of the IPC against eight people, including the man’s in-laws, and investigations are underway. Based on the findings of the investigations, action will be taken.”
