X Social Media Platform Surpasses $20 Million in Creator Payouts, Eyes Profitability by 2024

In a significant move, the social media platform X, owned by Elon Musk, has distributed nearly $20 million in payments to its content creators, according to CEO Linda Yaccarino. Through X’s ads revenue program, eligible creators can earn money directly from the platform by receiving a portion of the ad revenue generated from their content. This innovative system allows creators to monetize their presence on X, earning a percentage of the revenue generated whenever users view ads on their posts or profiles.

To qualify for X’s ads revenue program, creators must meet specific criteria. They need to be subscribed to X Blue (Twitter Blue), have a minimum of 5 million impressions on their cumulative posts within the last 3 months, and maintain a minimum of 500 followers on the platform. This initiative not only empowers creators but also incentivizes them to produce engaging content, fostering a vibrant community on the platform.

Looking ahead, CEO Linda Yaccarino has outlined a roadmap for X’s profitability. She indicated that with a clear understanding of the business and its future prospects, X is on track to become profitable by early 2024. This positive development not only underscores X’s commitment to its creators but also signals a promising future for the platform as it continues to grow and evolve.
