Cabinet reshuffle: PM Modi’s Council of Ministers now includes seven Uttar Pradesh leaders.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi named 43 new ministers for his Union Cabinet, who took their oaths on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. The names were chosen after consulting with senior ministers and party leaders. Caste, age, gender, education, and experience, among other things, have all been taken into account.

Seven leaders from Uttar Pradesh have been named to the new Council of Ministers. Anupriya Patel, Pankaj Chaudhary, BL Verma, Bhanu Verma, Kaushal Kishore, SP Singh Baghel, and Ajay Mishra Tenny are among those named.

Here are their names and a brief description of who they are:

Anupriya Patel is a Lok Sabha MP from Mirzapur, a seat near Varanasi, and the president of Apna Dal (S), the BJP’s ally. She is a two-time Lok Sabha MP. Patel is a Kurmi face, and she has a strong influence on Kurmi votes in Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bundelkhand.

While BL Verma is a Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh, he is only in his first term. He has been in public service for over 35 years. He holds an MA in Sanskrit from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University in Varanasi. He is a Lodhi face, which may have an impact on the Lodhi vote bank in Central UP. The BJP is promoting BL Verma as the new face of Lodhi.

SP Singh Baghel, who was once a close aide to Mulayam Singh Yadav, joined the BJP in 2017 and is currently an MP from Agra.

Kaushal Kishore is the Lok Sabha Member of Parliament for Mohanlalganj in Uttar Pradesh. He is in his second term as a member of Parliament. He was an MLA in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly and a Minister of State in the Uttar Pradesh Government. He has been in public service for over three decades. He graduated from Kalicharan Inter College with a BSc.

The UP MP from Maharajganj Pankaj Chaudhary belongs to the Kurmi community. Has served in the Lok Sabha six times. He has previously served as Gorakhpur’s Deputy Mayor. He has been in public service for over three decades.

Kaushal Kishor is the Lok Sabha Member of Parliament for Mohanlalganj in Uttar Pradesh, where he is in his second term. He has been the president of the UP BJP’s Scheduled Caste Front and is the face of SC votes. He was a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He served as a Minister of State in the government of Uttar Pradesh. He has been in public service for over three decades.

Bhanu Pratap Verma, a Bundelkhand native, is the current Member of Parliament for Jalaun. He will take over the SC vote bank from Bhanu Verma. While Ajay Mishra Tenny Lok Sabha MP from Lakhimpur Kheri is preparing to take on the role of representing the Brahmin community. He has served as an MLA in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly and as a member of the Kheri Zila Parishad. He has spent three decades in public service. He graduated from Kanpur University with a BSc LLB.

The Uttar Pradesh Assembly election is scheduled for 2022. It is claimed that the BJP-led Centre is considering caste equations in light of the Assembly elections and has had a significant influence on the names of the new Cabinet ministers.
