Singer K J Yesudas Celebrates 84th Birthday

Renowned Indian singer Kattassery Joseph Yesudas, often hailed as the “singer nonpareil,” celebrates his 84th birthday on Wednesday. Yesudas, who has enchanted audiences with his soulful voice, has been observing his birthday in Dallas, Texas, USA, where he has been residing with his son and family since the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Traditionally, Yesudas would visit the holy shrine of Kollur Mookambika Temple every January 10th to sing Kirtans inside, but due to various reasons, including the pandemic, this routine has been interrupted in recent years.
