Onam Liquor Sales in Kerala Reach Record High: Tirur Tops List

Liquor valued at Rs 757 crore was purchased from Bevco outlets in Kerala during the festive season of Onam. This marked an increase of Rs 57 crore compared to the previous year’s sales of Rs 700 crore. The highest sales were recorded at the Tirur outlet in Malappuram.

This sales record accounts for the past ten days. On the occasion of Avitham, alcohol sales amounted to Rs 91 crore. The most popular brand was identified as Javan, with an impressive 630,000 liters of the beverage sold.

On Uthrada day, Bevco outlets in the state registered liquor sales amounting to Rs 116 crore. This showcased an uptick from the previous year’s sales of Rs 112 crore, with an additional Rs 4 crore in revenue. The Iringalakuda outlet led the sales, with a noteworthy liquor worth of 1.06 crore being sold. The Kollam Ashram outlet secured the second position, selling liquor valued at Rs 1.01 crore.
