Flipkart Set to Introduce Same-Day Delivery Service Across 20 Indian Cities

In a strategic move to enhance customer experience, Flipkart, a prominent e-commerce platform in India, has announced the imminent rollout of its same-day delivery service in select regions. While the company has not specified a precise launch date, it revealed plans to commence the service in February, initially targeting 20 cities across the country. The list of cities includes Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Coimbatore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Patna, Raipur, Siliguri, and Vijayawada.

To avail of the same-day delivery option, customers must place orders for eligible items by 1 pm, ensuring delivery before midnight. Orders submitted after the cutoff time will be scheduled for the next day. Flipkart aims to scale up the service gradually, extending its reach to more cities over the coming months until it becomes available nationwide. The diverse range of eligible products spans mobiles, fashion and beauty items, lifestyle products, books, home appliances, and electronics.

Flipkart’s move to introduce same-day delivery aligns with its commitment to offering convenient and timely services to its users. The competition in the e-commerce sector is intense, with Amazon, a key rival, already providing various shipping options, including same-day delivery. Amazon Prime members benefit from complimentary same-day, one-day, and two-day delivery. Non-Prime users and Prime Lite members can access same-day and one-day delivery for an additional fee, with varying charges.

As Flipkart enters the realm of same-day deliveries, it aims to meet the evolving expectations of customers and further solidify its position in the highly competitive Indian e-commerce market.
