Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Transfer of Judge Who Rejected Rahul Gandhi’s Petition

The Supreme Court collegium has put forth a recommendation to transfer a judge who previously dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s petition. This proposal encompasses four judges, with Justice Hemant M Prachhak being advised for relocation to the Patna High Court. The other three judges, namely Justices Apesh Y Kogje, Geetha Gopi, and Samir J Dave, are also slated for transfer from the Gujarat High Court.

It is noteworthy that Justice Geethagopi V had previously agreed to consider Rahul Gandhi’s plea, while Judge Samir J Dave declined to hear Teesta Setalvad’s petition. This collegium of the Supreme Court has suggested the transfer of a total of nine judges from various High Courts.
