Kriti Sanon, who played a surrogate mother in Laxman Utekar’s film Mimi, discusses her battle to lose the extra 15kgs she accumulated for the role.
Kriti wrote an Instagram message for her fans describing how difficult it was for her to gain and lose weight.
She stated, “Having gained so much weight for the first time in my life and not working out for three months (not even yoga! ), my stamina, strength, and flexibility had all but vanished!” In reality, I had to gradually regain mobility with my joints clicking constantly.” She also reminded her fans that she saved the song ‘Param Sundari’ for later, which provided her incentive to get back in shape.
“While putting on 15ks for Mimi was a challenge, shedding those kilograms wasn’t easy for Chubby Sanon either!” she told her admirers. And…I’d saved Param Sundari for later so I’d have the motivation to get back into shape! Kriti said, “Sharing few clips of before and after lockdown videos where Yasmin Karachiwala helped me out get back strength!” She thanked her training instructors Yasmin Karachiwala and Robin Bhel. I don’t have enough home workouts recorded, but I appreciate Robin Behl’s presence on those difficult days.”
With ‘Heropanti,’ the actress made her Bollywood debut. And she amassed a massive fan base with films such as ‘Dilwale,’ ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi,’ ‘Raabta,’ ‘Arjun Patiala,’ ‘Houseful 4,’ and other historical dramas such as ‘Panipat’ and ‘Luka Chuppi.’
Kriti’s next film will be ‘Bachchan Pandey,’ in which she will star alongside Akshay Kumar. Among her upcoming projects are ‘Adipurush,’ ‘Bhedia,’ and ‘Ganpath.’
