The Lord of the Rings: Gollum trailer is honoured at The Game Awards 2021

The cinematic trailer for the upcoming Lord of the Rings game has been released, which is a treat for all Lord of the Rings fans. In the early 2000s, Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings films elevated Gollum to the status of one of the greatest on-screen characters of all time. Will the former hobbit be able to repeat its gaming history in the year 2022? The Lord of the Rings: Gollum received a new trailer during The Games Awards 2021 broadcast. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum made its debut during The Game Awards 2021 broadcast, providing us with a better idea of what NACON and Daedalic Entertainment hope to achieve with the stealth-action game.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum encounters the hobbit formerly known as ‘Sméagol’ while on a solo search for the missing ring. He does not focus on cursing the Bagginses, as shown in the trilogy film’s numerous events, but instead on the hunt for the ring. According to the trailer, all players in the game will have to jump, run, and tip-toe past every type of monster found in Tolkien’s writing – all while dealing with Gollum’s split personality. Gollum has no choice but to go get it because Sméagol swore on it.

Daedalic has officially partnered with the Tolkien Estate’s Middle-earth Enterprises on The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. This is the first time the two have worked together. Furthermore, the game was originally scheduled to be released in 2021. However, the game’s release date has been pushed back from early this year to the coming year of 2022.

Although no official release date for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has been announced, this epic game based on the classic trilogy film is expected to arrive in 2022 on PlayStation 4, PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
