In the midst of rape allegations, TV actor Pearl V Puri’s old video on respecting woman goes viral!
Pearl V Puri, a TV actor, was denied bail on June 11 after being arrested under the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) for allegedly raping a minor girl. According to the Times of India, he will be held in judicial custody until June 15.
In the midst of his minor rape allegations, an old Pearl video has been making the rounds on social media, in which the actor can be seen sharing his thoughts on how important it is to respect women.
He said, “I salute all women, you deserve it,” he says adding that a person who doesn’t respect women, doesn’t deserve respect at all.”
He can be seen in the video taking pictures with his female fans and toddlers and having a good time with them all. He also expressed his appreciation to his fans for showering him with love and affection.
One of his fans shared the video, and he has also asked other fans to join the movement to get him justice.
He wrote, “He has always been a man of morals, dignity and integrity. Just few fake allegations and people are ignoring the fact that how he is just not capable of even thinking of doing anything bad. People are supporting him because they know him. On June 5, a Vasai Court sentenced television actor Pearl V. Puri to 14 days in judicial custody for the unidentified. Puri was arrested two years ago on suspicion of molesting and raping a five-year-old girl.
The 31-year-old ‘Naagin 3’ actor was arrested by Mira-Bhayander Vasai-Virar Police Commissionerate on charges of rape under IPC Sec. 376 AB and POCSO Act, 4, 8, 12, 19, 21, according to officials.
Several celebrities came out in support of the actor. Aside from Karishma Tanna, producers Ekta Kapoor and Anita Hassanandani, among others, dismissed the charge as false and defended the actor as innocent.
