Kerala High Court Directs Strict Entry Measures for Sabarimala Pilgrims

In response to the recent heavy rush of pilgrims at the Sabarimala Temple in Kerala, the Kerala High Court has issued directives to ensure a more organized and streamlined entry process. The court ordered the state government to take measures to prevent individuals from visiting Sabarimala Temple without a virtual queue booking or on-the-spot booking. The move aims to manage the crowd effectively and enhance the overall pilgrim experience at the hill shrine.

Additionally, the High Court has instructed the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) to collaborate with NSS (National Service Scheme) and NCC (National Cadet Corps) cadets from nearby colleges. These cadets are expected to assist pilgrims and contribute to crowd control efforts, ensuring a smoother flow of visitors to the sacred site.

Furthermore, the court emphasized the need for maintaining cleanliness along the forest trail from Pamba to Sabarimala Sannidhanam. The comprehensive directives aim to address the challenges posed by the recent surge in pilgrim numbers, offering a more organized and efficient pilgrimage experience for devotees visiting the Sabarimala Temple.
