Sidharth Shukla, a popular television and film actor who rose to prominence with his role in the long-running TV show ‘Balika Vadhu,’ died on Thursday. He was 40 years old. Shukla, who is survived by his mother and two sisters, was pronounced dead at the Cooper Hospital in Juhu around 10.20 a.m., according to hospital officials.
Though some reports speculated on a heart attack, the cause of his untimely death, which sent shockwaves through the industry and TV fandom and sparked new debate on the industry’s pulls and pressures, is not immediately clear. “He was brought to the hospital dead.”The cause of the death will be known after the post-mortem is conducted…,” Cooper Hospital Dean Dr Shailesh Mohite told PTI.
According to Dr. Jitten Bhavsar of the hospital, Shukla, who won ‘Bigg Boss 13’ in 2020 and joins the ranks of actors on the verge of stardom who died too soon, was declared dead by the principal medical officer when he was brought to the hospital around 10.20 a.m. The actor’s body will be kept overnight at the state government post mortem facility, and the post mortem report will be released on Friday.
“Once the doctor issues the certificate (of death), the police will issue the NOC (no objection certificate) to the relatives, and they will be able to claim the body.” The investigating officer, on the other hand, is in charge of the post-mortem report. Later in the day, Dean Mohite stated, “It is confidential information between the doctors performing the autopsy and the investigating officer.”
The family of the Mumbai-born actor issued a statement through his public relations team, requesting that the media draw a line and ‘give his family and loved ones space and allow them to grieve.’ “We’re all in a lot of pain.” We’re as surprised as you are. And we all knew Sidharth was a private person, so please respect his privacy and the privacy of his family.
