KSRTC is considering opening Bevco stores in its bus terminals
Thiruvananthapuram: Transport Minister Antony Raju announced on Saturday that Bevco outlets will be opened at KSRTC bus stops throughout the state.
The decision follows the Kerala High Court’s recommendation that better facilities be provided for liquor customers.
Many bus stops in the state have unoccupied retail spaces. KSRTC hopes to earn more money from the rent as well as gain more customers for their buses.
The Minister stated that action will be taken to ensure that KSRTC employees do not abuse the facility. It will not bother travellers, either, Raju assures.
