CM Pinarayi Vijayan Denies Storming Off Event, Calls Bedadka Incident a Media Hoax

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has refuted media reports claiming that he abruptly left a public event following an interruption during his speech, referring to the incident at Bedadka as mere media speculation.

He clarified, “Reports suggested that I left the event in anger, but that’s not true. I faced some disturbance and promptly informed the organizers. Everything else is part of media exaggeration. During my speech, someone initiated an announcement prematurely, and I questioned why such an announcement was made in the middle of my speech. When my comments didn’t seem to register, I inquired if there was an issue with the person’s hearing. It’s a normal reaction in such situations,” CM Vijayan explained.

“After making those comments, I left the venue. However, the media began reporting it as if I had an argument and walked out. What kind of argument? What’s the difference? If someone does something wrong, I will correct them, and that’s what I’ve always done. I did the same this time, and I will continue to do so.”

The Chief Minister expressed his displeasure at an untimely announcement that disrupted his speech and left a public event on Saturday morning. CM Vijayan ended his address prematurely and departed from the inauguration ceremony of the Kasaragod Bedadka Service Co-operative Bank due to his frustration with the announcement that occurred before he had finished speaking.
