Ducati India postpones price hike on the extended warranty

Ducati India has deferred the price hike on the extended warranty for its models till June 1, 2020. The luxury motorcycle brand has taken the decision on account of the extension of the nationwide lockdown imposed in the country to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Due to the current lockdown, we understand that the entire country is going through a tough time, including Ducatisti. We at Ducati, are fully committed to providing the best services to our customers and will stand together with them during this global pandemic. With the relaxation in the extended warranty price hike, we hope to add support to our Ducati family,” Ducati India Managing Director Bipul Chandra said.

The postponement of the price hike on the extended warranty of the Ducati models comes as a respite for the customers who have their motorcycle’s extended warranty expiring during the lockdown period.

The 21-day nationwide lockdown, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 24, was scheduled to end on April 14. However, it was extended till May 3 to prevent COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, from escalating further.

A customer can activate the extended warranty programme on the purchase of a new Ducati model or during the standard warranty period. The offer is valid at all the Ducati dealerships across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad.
