Amitabh Bachchan’s staff member tested positive for COVID

New Delhi: Amidst the nationwide outbreak of COVID-19, reports indicate that a member of Amitabh Bachchan’s staff has tested positive for the virus.

According to PTI, a BMC official confirmed on Wednesday that a staff member at one of megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalows tested positive for COVID-19.

Big B announced on his blog on Tuesday that he is dealing with “domestic COVID situations,” and that he will contact his fans later.

According to the BMC official, one of the 31 staff members of the veteran star’s bungalows, Pratiksha and Jalsa, tested positive during routine COVID-19 tests.

Routine COVID-19 tests of the staffers were conducted from Amitabh Bachchan’s team, the officer added.

“The staff has been quarantined at CCC-2 (COVID Care Center-2) of the BMC,” he said.

He further added that the positive staff is asymptomatic.

Another senior official stated that they followed the COVID-19 protocol, which includes contact tracing, testing, and home quarantine of close contacts, in accordance with the guidelines.

On Tuesday, Amitabh Bachchan, who regularly updates his fans on his personal and professional life via his blog, posted a cryptic one-line text on the platform.

“Dealing with some domestic COVID situations.. Will connect later,” the 79-year-old actor, who will be fully vaccinated in May 2021, wrote on Instagram.

Following this post, fans of the screen icon flooded the comments section, sending their best wishes to the family and pleading with him to take care of them.

Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and his granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan all tested positive for coronavirus in 2020.
