Open for All Discussions in Puthupally”: Jake C. Thomas Highlights LDF’s Focus on Development and Community Well-being

Jake C. Thomas, candidate aligned with the Left Democratic Front (LDF), emphasized that the primary focus of LDF in the Puthupally region is centered around promoting development and addressing the issues affecting people’s lives. As part of their campaign efforts, there will be discussions on development held in Puthupally, involving active participation from various ministers. Jake C. Thomas expressed LDF’s willingness to engage in development-oriented dialogues.

He mentioned that the United Democratic Front (UDF) has the freedom to determine the timing and format for discussing development matters, and LDF is prepared to participate whenever called upon. However, despite their willingness, UDF has been hesitant to engage in these discussions, contrary to their stated intentions. Jake C. Thomas emphasized that LDF’s commitment to development extends beyond just the involvement of the Public Works Minister, and all ministers would be part of these discussions. The dialogue on development, which is crucial to people’s lives, can take place in any of the 182 booths, highlighting its significance beyond party politics.

Jake C. Thomas has embarked on an active tour in connection with the upcoming by-elections. The campaign responsibilities have been entrusted to CPIM state committee members, and key figures within the party will address gatherings at different locations. The inaugural meeting of the Central Election Committee office will also witness participation from central leaders.

Meanwhile, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate for Puthupally is yet to be officially announced. Speculation suggests that Lijin Lal, the BJP district president, will likely be named as the candidate, following extensive deliberations within the NDA camp. The announcement regarding this candidacy is expected shortly.
