Kannur Secures Gold Cup at 62nd State School Youth Festival

After a 23-year wait, Kannur emerged victorious at the 62nd State School Youth Festival, securing 952 points and claiming the coveted gold cup. The closing ceremony at the main stage of Ashramam ground witnessed Megastar Mammootty presenting the gold cup to the winners, with Minister KN Balagopal presiding over the event. Kozhikode secured the second position with 949 points, while Palakkad clinched the third spot with 938 points. This marks Kannur’s 4th title win, and the district will take home the gold cup valued at 117.5 sovereign. The ceremony honored winners with 30 trophies across various categories, allowing only 20 children onto the main stage to collect their prizes. The Trophy Committee Office distributed the trophies, and the winners will soon receive financial incentives and certificates.
