security guard attacked on medical college: DYFI activists surrender before police

DYFI activists who were booked for allegedly attacking a security guard at Kozhikode Govt. Medical College surrendered before the police after the court dismissed their anticipatory bail plea. Six of the accused including DYFI leader Arun, KM Rajesh, Aswin, Sajin, Nikhil Soman, Jithin Lal and Muhammad Basheer are accused in the case and surrendered at Nadakkavu police station.

Police slapped non-bailable charges including attempts to murder and offences under the Kerala Healthcare Service Persons and Healthcare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage to Property) act against the accused. The incident related to the case took place on August 31.
