Kerala Government to Launch “Complete Digital Literacy” Project for 100% Digital Literacy

Building on its success in achieving high levels of traditional literacy, Kerala is set to embark on a new project called “Complete Digital Literacy” with the goal of achieving 100% digital literacy. The initiative, spearheaded by the Local Self-Government Department, is scheduled to commence on January 26, Republic Day. The primary objective is to empower citizens with digital skills, enabling them to seamlessly access various online government services in their daily lives. The target demographic for the project is individuals between the ages of 14 and 70. To kickstart the initiative, a survey will be conducted to identify those lacking digital literacy. Volunteers interested in assisting with the survey can register until January 30, following which they will undergo training from February 5 to March 15. The survey itself is slated to take place from March 20 to April 20, with digitally illiterate individuals receiving training from May 15 to July 31. Successful participants will be awarded a certificate of merit following an evaluation.
