Indian-Chinese troops clashed at Arunachal LAC on December 9, suffered injuries

Indian and Chinese troops clashed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Tawang Sector in Arunachal Pradesh on December 9. Some Indian soldiers were injured in the clash. On December 9, the Chinese troops clashed with the Indian soldiers in the Yangtse area near the Tawang sector, as per defence sources.

The face-off led to minor injuries to a few personnel from both sides. At least six soldiers injured in the India-China clash in the Tawang sector were brought to Guwahati for treatment. More than 300 Chinese soldiers had attempted to access the top of a 17,000-ft peak and were thwarted.

The area is now under snow. The Chinese troops wanted to uproot an Indian post, but the Indian side successfully thwarted the attempt. Both sides immediately disengaged from the area. Around 200 People’s Liberation Army (PLA) soldiers were intercepted close to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh.
