Wuhan Lab again, hiding the mystery

In December 2019, the month before China announced that Washington had first confirmed the disease caused by the new coronavirus, 3 employees of the Wuhan Virology Institute were hospitalized with covid-like symptoms. Before Donald Trump stepped down as US president, the Wall Street Journal newspaper found some of the as-yet-unknown details of an intelligence report released by then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

This is a finding that again points to the possibility that the coronavirus may have accidentally emerged from the lab in Wuhan, where preventive research is also conducted. The question of whether China was developing the coronavirus as a biological weapon remains to be answered. It is generally believed that the coronavirus found in animals was transmitted to humans through the meat market in Wuhan. China responded that the US report was a hoax.
