Today, 29,803 people in the state have been confirmed by Covid

Thiruvananthapuram: 29,803 people have been confirmed as covid-19 in Kerala today. Malappuram 5315, Palakkad 3285, Thiruvananthapuram 3131, Ernakulam 3063, Kollam 2867, Alappuzha 2482, Thrissur 2147, Kozhikode 1855, Kottayam 1555, Kannur 1212, Pathanamthitta 1076, Idukki 802, Kasargod 602, Wayanad 411 were confirmed in the districts today.

Over the past 24 hours, 1,43,028 samples have been tested. The test positivity rate is 20.84. Rutin sample, sentinel sample, CB Nat, Truant, POCT PCR, RT A total of 1,90,24,615 samples have been tested so far, including LAMP and antigen testing.

In the last 24 hours, no one from the UK, South Africa and Brazil has confirmed the Covid-19. So far, 126 people from the UK (116), South Africa (9) and Brazil (1) have been confirmed by The Covid 19. Of these, 124 were tested negative. A total of 11 cases were found of the genetic variant virus.

Today, it was confirmed that 177 deaths in recent days were caused by Covid-19. This brings the total death toll to 7731.

Today, 202 of those confirmed have come from outside the state. 27,502 people were infected through contact. The source of contact for 2005 is unclear. Malappuram 5148, Palakkad 1789, Thiruvananthapuram 2978, Ernakulam 2941, Kollam 2860, Alappuzha 2478, Thrissur 2123, Kozhikode 1817, Kottayam 1455, Kannur 1134, Pathanamthitta 1037, Idukki 768, Kasargod 586 and Wayanad 388.

94 health workers were infected. Kannur 17, Wayanad 13, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Kasargod 10 each, Thrissur 7, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta 6 each, Idukki 5, Kozhikode 2, Kottayam and Malappuram 1 each was infected.

33,397 people who were being treated for the disease have recovered. Thiruvananthapuram 3112, Kollam 1801, Pathanamthitta 1851, Alappuzha 2015, Kottayam 1546, Idukki 1266, Ernakulam 3917, Thrissur 2489, Palakkad 3032, Malappuram 4052, Kozhikode 2815, Wayanad 572, Kannur 3884, Kasargod 1045 With this, 2,55,406 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are now being treated. 21,32,071 people have so far recovered from Covid.

There are now 9,04,178 persons under observation in various districts of the state. Of these, 8,26,698 are under observation in house/institutional quarantine and 38,740 in hospitals. 3303 people were newly admitted to the hospital.

There’s no new hotspot today. No area is excluded from the hotspot. There are currently 879 hotspots.
