Car rams into students; 1 dead, 16 injured in TVM
One person died and 16 others were injured after a car rammed into a group of students waiting for the bus in Kallambalam here on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Sreshta M Vijay, a native of Attingal and an MA English student at KTCT Arts College.
The students were waiting for the bus in front of the Kallambalam Police Station. A car came from Kollam’s side lost control and rammed into the group. A total of 16 students were injured in the accident.
The condition of one student is critical and she is presently undergoing treatment at a private hospital here. All others are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chathampara here. The car driver and owner are under police custody.
